He was a long-term lecturer at Lutheran seminaries in Papua New Guinea and South Australia and a visiting lecturer in Erlangen, Germany; Edmonton, Canada; and Singapore. He also served on several key theological commissions in PNG and Australia, including Australia's Lutheran-Catholic dialogue.
