One day Susan called her mother, Sandy, to tell her something quizzical about her puppy. Tugger, a handsome and always hungry Irish Terrier, would eat anything he found before him; but, the family had discovered, he would not eat a pretzel - no way, no how And so what began as a curious observation, became a family challenge . . . how to get Tugger to eat a pretzel. The family's attempts and Tugger's refusal led to a comical story in poetry form by the mother/daughter pair.
