Author Biography
Joan Colby's latest books include Dead Horses, Selected Poems, Properties of Matter, and the chapbook Bittersweet. Her work has been widely published in journals, and she has received many awards; most recently, she was among the winners of the 2014 Atlanta Review International Poetry Contest. Newly retired as editor of Illinois Racing News, she works as associate editor of Kentucky Review and for FutureCycle Press. She lives on a small horse farm in northern Illinois with her husband and assorted animals.
