by Brett Ellis (Author)
Brett Ellis is a modern day cage rattler. Through the medium of e-mail wind up's, Brett aka 'Pat 'pi**taker' Keriss, vents spleen on companies, celebrities and individuals alike. Acting the fool and consistently clutching the wrong end of the stick, Brett oozes humour from every pore, extracting some angry and stupid responses from organisations as diverse as Tesco, Boots and Kotex. A unique and controversial book that regularly crosses the boundary of good taste. The wind up merchant leaves poor pretenders such as 'the timewasters letters' in its wake. You will laugh, cry and spit your coffee at the madcap enquiries and complaints emanating from the non gender specific creation that is 'Pat Keriss'. E-mails range from the accidental rubbing of deep heat into inappropriate places to Gary Glitter's attempts to join a private members club. At every juncture you will be willing Pat on, in the quest to irritate, annoy, disgust and amuse in equal measure. Councils, football clubs, music magazines, stamp collectors, Government departments and even dog grooming parlours all face Pat's ire. Some with good humour....many without....
Author Biography
Brett Ellis, aka Pat Keriss, hails from the UK. Now living in the London area, Brett has earned himself a reputation as a humorous columnist for a number of local and national magazines. Currently he is the main columnist for a national media magazine. He has also written and edited for websites, companies, royal families, councils and numerous other publications. He has over 15 years experience of being published as a freelancer/ columnist. With no formal writing training, his articles are mostly social commentary and always thought provoking. He writes with an edge that is rarely read in these politically correct times. Taking a keen interest in politics and current affairs, he has over 20 years radio experience where he has interviewed a number of political figures including two main party leaders. All interviews have been aired live and no questions have been off limits. His interviews have been commented on in the Daily Mirror, The Times and The New Statesman amongst many others. 'The wind up merchant' is Brett's first literary release. Describing the book as a 'crude shot through the bows of the politically correct bubble in which we live', he concludes that, 'even with some modicum of education, we are all children at heart who enjoy a laugh and a joke at others expense'. 'This is pure toilet humour that will produce numerous belly laughs'. As Pat, I write from the hip as I attempt to infuriate, tickle and leave you aghast in equal measure. Currently working on different writing genres including social commentary and politics, this extremely versatile writer is looking at a comedy comeback, in the future, for his alter ego, Pat Keriss. 'It takes a lot to make me laugh' concedes Brett, 'but this book has made me cry with laughter every step of the way'.
