Superfoods, simple steps, easy to fix, and basic ingredients. For anyone who has allergies, just swap out ingredients for those you can eat.For those needing gluten-free recipes, swap out the flour for your favorite flour. The key to using this cookbook is to take my recipes and make adjustments suited for your use. Think of this cookbook as a starter or base to build upon. Have fun with it! A great gift for newlyweds, college students, for someone living alone. Some of my all-time favorite recipes:
Two-Minute Fudge - (Makes for a great Christmas present!)
Chocolate Cherry Cake (If you take this dish, it'll come back empty!)
Pralines - (Another great Christmas gift! Just like the ones made in the South!)
Butterbeer - (It's as close as I could get to that served at a famous park in Florida.)
Old-Fashioned Pan Rolls - (These are light and fluffy, and taste like store-bought.)
Guacamole - (Easy to make and delicious!)
Red Pepper Cream Cheese Seafood Dip - (This one will disappear fast!)
Crustless Quiche - (Easy to fix and no crust to make or buy!)
Eggnog - (A holiday favorite.)
Lobster/Crab/Fish Bisque - (Yummy!)
Black Forest Mug Cake - (When you need just a taste and not an entire cake!)
No Grain Cheese Crust Pizza - (When I became gluten-free, this one became my go-to pizza.)
Homemade mixes - (These have been lifesavers in eliminating unneeded ingredients.) "My kids are fussy eaters and they loved the recipes we tried!" - email from Kat Henry Doran of WildWomenAuthors "The concept behind this book is brilliant!!" - Amazon reviewer "The answer we've all been looking for...simple categories...a quick, easy helpmate in the kitchen. Options for substitutes are included-a wonderful aide to those of us who are challenged in the culinary imagination area." - Goodreads review
Author Biography
Screenwriter, author, and former English professor, Diana Stout, MFA, Ph.D. is an award-winning writer of multiple genres. She's written fiction, nonfiction, newspaper and magazine columns, plays, poetry, and screenplays, and has written for both adults and children. Her scripts, novels, and novellas include romance, drama, literary, historical, and fantasy. This cookbook evolved due to severe three-day induced migraines, an allergy to onions, which were discovered in nearly all commercial food products and many restaurant food items. The list of foods she couldn't eat was long at the time. As a result, Diana created her own recipes and mixes. While she no longer has those same allergies today, now grains have become a problem, thus the creation of new recipes. Fortunately, sugar was never attributed to any allergy, much to Diana's relieve. She admits that while the dessert section is rarely used, that section still contains some of her best go-to recipes whenever the sweet tooth rises up, demanding attention. In her spare time, she enjoys lunching with friends, always on the hunt for new additions to her collection of favorite recipes.
