Welcome to a tiny town with a quaint, flower shop. Inside the store window a white rose thinks its sole purpose in life is to be beautiful, bought by a boy, and cherished by his girl. But the rose's petals begin to fall, she remembers her thorns. The rose wonders if they are why she hasn't been sold. The rose pulls at the thorns as the story begins to pull at your heartstrings. Time passes, and an unexpected purpose will arise for the rose. It is a children's story that really is for all ages and gives the simple truth that in the midst of thorns, life is beautiful.
Author Biography
Josh Tigges is a writer that is currently based in Seattle, Washington. Growing up in an Air Force family, Josh has lived in every corner of the United States. Getting a BBA in Business Marketing at James Madison University in Virginia, one would be surprised to see him in the writing scene, but he has written songs as an indie recording artist for years. Josh always enjoyed storytime with his mom. Some of his favorites were The Little Engine That Could, Are You My Mother?, Miss Twigley's Tree, and The Giving Tree. Josh wanted to try and write stories for others like he enjoyed as a boy. In Josh's work, you may see hints of Dr. Seuss' whim and rhyme and the truth seen in Shel Silverstein's writing. His goal in his work is to communicate truth to beautiful and yet broken world full of the false.
