He attended Bo District Council Primary School and Bumpe High School at Bumpe, his chiefdom headquarters. He received tertiary education at Milton Margai Teachers College (now Milton Margai College of Education and Technology), and Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone. Frederick is an Adult Educator and a Communication for Development Specialist. He has two published plays to his credit: \"The Weaver Birds\", and \"The Runaway\"; and his poems have appeared in anthologies at home and abroad.
