He is the author of a history of the Armenian language and of a multivolume study of modern Armenian literature entitled \u003ci\u003eEntre l'art et le témoignage\u003c\/i\u003e, volume 1 of which, \u003ci\u003eWriters of Disaster\u003c\/i\u003e (\u003ci\u003eThe National Revolution\u003c\/i\u003e) appeared in English in 2002. He is also the editor of \u003ci\u003eGam: A Journal of Analysis\u003c\/i\u003e (written in Armenian).
