Johnny Tamale is hungry for tacos. So hungry that he uses his newest invention to make his taco even bigger But the experiment goes wrong and now his taco is giant It's as big as he is And the taco is hungry So hungry, that he is now eating everything in sight. Can Johnny and his twin sister Molly stop the Giant Taco before it destroys the entire town?
A Father-Daughter Creation, written by James Flexman and illustrated by his 6-year old daughter Aria Flexman. A kids chapter book for 1st - 4th Graders. May 2020. Our family is in the midst of quarantine from the COVID pandemic. My kids are starting to go crazy, so I suggest to my oldest daughter Aria that we write a book together. She can do the pictures, we'll come up with the story together and I'll write it. She agrees and one night while winding down for bed, we brainstorm some ideas. "Let's make the book about a giant taco," she suggests immediately. "I love it," I respond. "And it should be about a boy named Johnny," she says. And so it began. The next day, I wrote the first draft (significantly shorter and less exciting than what you are about to read) and she drew the first couple of pictures. Several months and many pictures and drafts later, here we are. We hope you enjoy The Giant Taco Sincerely,James and Aria Flexman
