Barbara Smith collaborated with the diverse group of educators to look at gatekeeping in education through many lenses. Smith celebrates a 40+ year career in education as both a practitioner and researcher. She has opened three schools, and as a principal, she piloted innovative practices in teaching and learning and staff development. Barbara J.
