The information presented was collected during a survey of\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003erivers and interviews with fisher folk who utilise them. Detailed information and illustrations for each species recorded is presented. The ecological context in which these species occur and the environmental threats they face are discussed. With this publication, a description of our rich freshwater biodiversity is now available to conservation planners, naturalists, teachers, and students.
