This book is intended for both Harry Potter fans and those searching for the deeper Christian truths hidden within J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter series. It deals with the questions such as "How do we justify the Magic within Harry Potter as Christians?" and "How can the alchemy within the series help Christians find deeper meanings to their own faith?" Later chapters explain the traditions, history, symbolism, and Biblical references that outline the storyline book by book in a way that makes it easy to use and reference again and again.

Author Biography

Leslie Barnhart was born and raised in Europe with Christian parents who enjoy history and theology. Although her first love was music and languages, she received her B.S. in mathematics from University of Notre Dame, a M.B.A. (Chapman) and a M. Ed (George Mason) to follow her love for teaching rather than continue the family lineage of pastors. However, she was not able to avoid religious teaching altogether, and she has created multiple summer Bible curricula based on The Chronicles of Narnia and Harry Potter series. She currently teaches math and science in one of the largest school systems in the United States and lives with her husband, two children, and a managerie of animals.
