This story is based on true events. When the sun comes up, an adventurous and energetic little boy runs outside to wander in the woods in his favorite rain boots. He goes on his daily walk, religiously checking the birdhouses that he made for nests. Unfortunately, one by one, they turn up empty. He continues to check them in hopes of finding a bird's nest. When he gets to the last house, what he finds isn't at all what he expected. Instead of a house full of birds, he finds a house full of mice!
