by Jay Stuart Snelson (Author)
Throughout history, human beings have sought dominance over one another according to a win-lose worldview - to win, the other party must lose. According to author Snelson, another form of conflict resolution is not just possible but necessary to avoid ultimate destruction. Based on the understanding that cultural paradigms, not human nature, are responsible for our ongoing faith-based conflicts, Snelson offers an analysis of these paradigms and how to shift them. Not content with abstract theorizing disconnected from evidence, he builds his Science of Social Causation model on scientific epistemology and seeks to present a well-reasoned and practicable method.
Author Biography
Jay Stuart Snelson was raised and educated in Los Angeles, graduating from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1959. Snelson's teenage concern for human survival motivated him to study social history, philosophy, theology, economics, and scientific epistemology in search of an answer to history's most critical and pressing social problem, namely, "How can the scope and scale of organized violence - whether religious or political - be limited to a level of destruction that no longer threatens to destroy civilization and the human species?" Lecturing on these issues for more than four decades, Snelson has shown that through observational analysis and verification, a greater understanding of social causality reveals a practical solution to the endless crises unleashed by war, poverty, and servitude. His focus on finding workable strategies for resolving crucial social problems led to his development and presentation of proprietary seminars on a Science of Social Causation that identifies and verifies which social causes lead to which social effects. Causality identification and verification confirms the practicality and efficacy of win-win structures of social organization that maximize the causes of peace, prosperity, and freedom and minimize the causes of war, poverty, and servitude.
