Openly gay, Karaahmet has been targeted by the fundamentalist press many times. \u003ci\u003eSummerhouse\u003c\/i\u003e is his first novel. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cb\u003eNicholas Glastonbury\u003c\/b\u003e is a writer, translator, and editor from the Florida backwaters. His translations of Turkish and Kurdish fiction and poetry have appeared with or are forthcoming from Tilted Axis Press, Comma Press, Soho Press, Sandorf Passage, Nightboat Books, and elsewhere.
