by Katherine Hatch (Author)
New York Times bestselling author Katherine Hatch provides a sumptuous and decadent treat in Suddenly, Mexico!, a narrative of her life in Mexico. This collection of over forty anecdotal vignettes bursts with natural grace and spontaneity. In equal measures playful and subtle, these short stories are ultimately a series of fortuitous flashbacks and magical memories. She blends fantasy and legend with the mindset of "the good old days" to create a uniquely Mexican experience, one in which the tempo is a waltz and neighbors are the perfect dance partners. With titles such as "A New Padre," "Music of the Street" and "Another Fiesta," the author whispers the secrets of the simple life that is laced with the sweet-honey scent of jasmine and roses. Prepare to be delighted; filled with quiet anticipation, these odes leave plenty of room for surprises and are filled with sensual, lyrical stanzas of praise-a celebration of all that is good.
