Stotra Ratna or 'The Jewel among Prayers' does not only display a devotee's unconditional love towards Lord but also talks about the basic prerequisites for self-surrender in love. Verse by verse it builds the logic behind this ecstatic form of devotion where a devotee assumes that he belongs to the Lord alone and is in his eternal refuge. As he does not own anything or does not have another savior, God himself will protect him due to his unfailing and ever-present grace, kindness, and love.

Yamuncharya shows through various irrefutable arguments that the term God most appropriately refers to Lord Narayana. As multiple enlightened devotees of the Lord serve him all the time, it becomes evident that the individual souls are many even in the liberated state though they all exist in the same non-dual supreme reality.

He also shows the basic tenets of qualified non-duality concisely which were further elaborated by great Ramanuja, Lokacharya Pillai, Vedanta Deshika, and many other notable sages of the sect.
