The text of this book is based on the first edition (1948) of \u003cem\u003eSpring Wild Flowers \u003c\/em\u003eby Earl. L. Core (1902-1984). Dr. Core was a biology professor at West Virginia University for more than 40 years, and co-author of the classic four-volume \u003cem\u003eFlora of West Virginia\u003c\/em\u003e.
