For the realization of this book, I have selected a group of songs, prayers and
invocations that result from the most commonly used in ceremonies and rituals
of Santeria and Ifá in Cuba.
I have extracted directly from the songs that have been transmitted for generations
only by word of mouth, by the possessors of this knowledge, and listening to the
most famous performers in this genre, which has become
important artistic specialty of Afro-Cuban religious culture.
For the first time, these songs have been transcribed, so that those interested in
learn them, they can familiarize themselves with them, reading directly in the writing
and doing the phonetics of this Yoruba dialect.
Note: Better results can be achieved if you also have the aid
of the musical recordings that contain these songs.
