When you grow up in a small town, you know everything about it. The people, the rumors, and the history about the area. What you don't know, is that someday, in the past, knowing that history just might save your life.
Connie was born in Tucumcari and she knows so much about her little town that the city has offered her a position as head of their tourism department. They see the potential in what her friendly personality and strong work ethic can do for their little town, but she wants to finally decide on which photography college she is going to attend in a bigger city, moving on with life outside her rural community. After Connie is asked to fill in for her work companion and give an annual welcome speech that includes some town history to a group of veterans at the VFW, she ends her night with a sip of whiskey from the bottle she was given from the appreciative group and ends up stepping outside into the year 1904.
Before it was Tucumcari, the area was known as Six-Shooter Siding, one of the roughest camps along the railroad being built across the west. While Connie is young and alone in this dangerous town she barely recognizes anymore, she just might know enough about the history of where she was born to help her survive.
