Author Biography

Jerry Apps was born and raised on a small dairy farm in central Wisconsin. As an adult, he and his family operated a 120-acre tree farm, Roshara, two miles from the farm where he grew up. Apps was also a former county extension agent and professor at the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He authored more than fifty fiction, nonfiction, and children's books, including Every Farm Tells a Story: A Tale of Farm Family Values, More Than Words: A Memoir of a Writing Life, and Barns of Wisconsin, all published by the Wisconsin Historical Society Press.
