by Joanne Salemink (Author)
Julie's midlife-crises are piling up faster than credit card rewards on Black Friday. She's already lost her job and found a pair of strange panties in her husband's Escalade, and she's missing her teen-age daughter who recently started acting like, well, a teen-age daughter. Now, in one poorly-timed, nightmare-inducing, "Honey, I'm (oh-my-gosh ) home" moment, her unfaithful husband and her BFF seem to have deserted her, too. Something about the whole affair seems suspicious, and Julie is determined to uncover what really happened under the covers. Things start looking up - and life gets more interesting - when she meets Miss Irene, an ageless octogenarian with a penchant for pole dancing and a vintage Indian Scout motorcycle. Armed with a sense of humor, courage she forgot she had, and an unfortunate nice-girl streak she just can shake, Julie repairs her relationships, tracks down the truth, reignites a romance, and puts the mean girls in their place (without becoming a mean girl herself . . . much).
