Roderick's behavior leaves a lot to be desired. He's the fourth-grade school bully with bad grades who loves to throw extravagant temper tantrums whenever he gets angry. Consequently, he is labeled "bad" and "dumb" by his schoolmates and teachers. To make matters worse, Roderick still can't learn to read and has no idea how to make things better. All grown ups do is tell him to behave and pay attention in school. He feels alone, lost and thinks everyone is out to get him. Things drastically change when his parents decide to take him out of school and grant him a fresh start in a new place where he learns how unique he really is.
