Author Biography
Robert J. Kline, Ph.D., earned his doctorate from Brigham Young University. He was on the faculty of Auburn University before moving to community mental health. There, he was the director of children's services and later the overall clinical director. After thirteen years at a mental health clinic, he went into full-time private practice. Two years later, he joined the Alabama Institute for Deaf and blind as a psychologist. He has been there for twenty-five years. During those twenty-five years, he has maintained his private practice. Over the years, he has been a consultant to over ten school districts, has made numerous presentations at professional conferences and workshops, and has written several papers published in professional journals. He co-authored the book RESPONSIBLE PARENTING NEWSLETTERS, published by Marco Press. It provides a straightforward approach to managing 59 common behavioral issues. It is similar to this book, but deals with other behaviors. Julie E. Kline, Psy.D., is the daughter of Dr. Kline and his wife, Marilyn. Julie earned her doctorate in Psychology from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology in Atlanta, GA. She also co-authored the RESPONSIBLE PARENTING NEWSLETTERS book. For over ten years, she has worked at Grayson and Associates, a psychiatric practice in Birmingham, Alabama.
