Author Biography

Born in Los Angeles, California, Lawrence Vijay Girard grew up with all of the material benefits of western society: yet he found that he wasn't happy. At the age of 17 he read Paramhansa Yogananda's spiritual classic, "Autobiography of a Yogi" and embarked on a spiritual journey that in June of 1972 brought him to Swami Kriyananda, a direct disciple of Paramhansa Yogananda, and life at the international headquarters of Ananda Sangha in Northern California. Under the guidance and training of Swami Kriyananda, Lawrence Vijay Girard has developed an understanding and ability to communicate the precepts and techniques of the Yoga teachings to audiences from all walks of life. Lawrence Vijay Girard has more than 40 years of experience in practicing and sharing techniques for applying spiritual principles to the challenges of daily life. He is the author of ten books, including Way of the Positive Flow, Flowing in the Workplace: A guide to Personal and Professional Success and Positive Flow Parenting. As a keynote speaker and workshop leader he is uniquely qualified to present the soft skills that are essential for success in business, sales and life. His books represent a generation of American's who have embraced the ancient teachings of Raja Yoga and applied them to life in today's modern times. Mr. Girard's business experience is quite diverse. He has successfully operated several of his own businesses in retail and service segments, as well as, working with international corporations in sales.
