by Christine Kunkler (Author)
From a controversial reading of Plato's and Aristotle's contributions and by questioning some traditional concepts such as the autonomy of art, the new Transcendence Theory of Art emerges. As a methodological example of how to swap between theoretical analyses and art practice, it is a proposal for a fresh approach in some areas of philosophy. Christine Kunkler introduces concepts such as Index-Art and the Aesthetic Syllogism to open future fields of research in Philosophy. She also challenges Danto's Art World concept using the idea of the Force Field of Art . The study shows how a philosophical discussion of texts and images can be valuable for society, especially for the problem of fake news.
