Author Biography
Simon Beckett is a British journalist and author. His books, particularly his crime series with forensic anthropologist Dr David Hunter, have sold twenty-one million copies worldwide. He has written for the Times, the Independent on Sunday, the Daily Telegraph and the Observer, amongst others. He won the Marlowe Award for Best International Crime Novel in 1996. In February 2019, he received the European Crime Fiction Star Award jointly with Swedish crime novelist Arne Dahl. He has been shortlisted for the CWA Gold Dagger and Theakston's Crime Novel of the Year, and twice shortlisted for the European Star Crime Fiction Award. Beckett is married and lives in Sheffield, England.
