Part of plant used: Leaves (needles) and twigs.
Extraction method: Steam distillation. 

Description: Cypress Oil is steam distilled from the leaves (needles) and twigs of the Cypress tree that originates in the eastern Mediterranean countries. Most of the oil is distilled in Southern France. Cypress Oil is an excellent astringent for oily skin. It has a woody, slightly spicy yet clear and refreshing aroma.

Precautions: Non-toxic.

Co-blenders: Bergamot, Clary Sage, Fennel Grapefruit, Juniper, Lavender, Lemon, Lime, Orange, Pine and Rosemary. 

Perfumery Note: Middle.

Fun fact:
The word sempervirens means “ever-living” and the ancient Greeks, Romans and Egyptians dedicated the tree to their gods of the underworld.
