Leaving Hollywood's General Hospital, Dr. Yanuck returns to South Central to serve the people of Compton and Watts. Teaching bioenergy at a local college, he meets Angelica (a woman suffering from cancer) and cares for her the last months of her life.

Author Biography

Michael Yanuck MD PhD is a physician-scientist whose groundbreaking research at the National Institutes of Health was the basis for a FDA-approved vaccine for cancer. Following a traumatic leg injury he returned to medicine. Intent on helping those most in need, he enlisted in the National Health Service Corps, worked in urban and rural health centers throughout the country, then served native peoples with the Indian Health Service. Currently, he cares for homeless Veterans, and serves as Pain Champion for the Northern California VA.
