Author Biography
A college administrator for twenty years, author Heath P. Boice knows about college life. He takes this experience and uses it as the foundation form his unique series of "cozy" novels. This is the first Ocean Grove "Short" Mystery that pays homage to Boice's former home, Ocean Grove, New Jersey. Heath has received both regional and national recognition for his professional work in college administration, boasting over 50 publications and convention presentations on topics including: Legal Issues, Student Affairs around the Globe, and Service Leadership and Innovation in higher education. Heath holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Communications (radio/television) and a Master of Science in Education in College Student Personnel and Counseling from the College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York. He also holds a Doctorate in Education from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, New Jersey. A lifelong learner, Heath also earned an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Service Leadership and Innovation from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in Rochester, New York. Heath has had a successful career as a college dean, administrator, and instructor at both private and public universities, most recently as the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs and Community Development at RIT. He also teaches graduate courses linking higher education and customer service in RIT's College of Applied Science and Technology, a unique program that he developed. Additionally, Heath serves as a faculty member in the School of Advanced Studies, University of Phoenix. Before working in higher education, Heath worked both on and off air at radio and television stations as a news anchor, writer, producer, and feature talk show host. When not working with college students or writing, Heath enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters in their Rochester, New York home.
