An avid hiker, Eric once worked for seven years at the Mount Washington Observatory, on the windswept summit of New England's highest peak. His experiences there inspired his first book for children, \u003cem\u003eCat in the Clouds\u003c\/em\u003e. Today, Eric teaches in New Hampshire at a small college in the woods, and often visits schools and libraries to share stories about books, mountains, and animals.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eT. B. R. Walsh\u003c\/strong\u003e studied art in Italy while at university and taught architectural drawing and art history for nine years before moving into the world of book illustration.
