Through features published in \u003cem\u003eThe Times-Picayune, New Orleans Magazine, Gambit, USA Today\u003c\/em\u003e, and \u003cem\u003eThe Christian Science Monitor, \u003c\/em\u003e she has shared the city's stories with both local and national audiences. Perret graduated magna cum laude from Tulane University. A longtime high school teacher and principal, she has devoted much of her life to educating the city's children. She has raised three children of her own and\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003elives in the New Orleans suburb of Metairie, where she was born and raised.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eGianna Gilberti is a painter, ceramicist, and illustrator born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her work has been exhibited and awarded in the New Orleans Museum of Art, M.S. Rau Antiques gallery, Maison de Saints Superbowl Auction, and Scholastic Art and Writing Competition.
