November 22nd was the worst day of Mrs. Kennedy's life. No, no, not that Mrs. Kennedy. Another one altogether. However, the coincidence is hard to ignore. On the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, Mrs. Kennedy learns that her husband of seven years has left her. With nowhere else to turn, she seeks refuge at her local church (it's something she's seen on numerous TV shows and in movies). There she befriends an unorthodox priest who helps her through her difficult time. As their friendship blossoms, they discover more information about her husband's past and where he may be headed. Meanwhile, three young friends, including a young man who was once an altar boy at the church, get mixed up in a caper involving gangsters and terrorists. When the former altar boy seeks help from the priest, the young men's, the priest's and Mrs. Kennedy's worlds collide and they are led on an adventure with twists and turns through an underworld of international spies, supervillains, gangsters, bureaucrats, carwash attendants, Christmas tree salesmen, private investigators, and mountaineers full of danger and intrigue where not everything--or everybody--is what they seem.
