Author Biography

Mike Harwitz is the author and illustrator of several children's books, including Milikins, Draw Easy Monsters, I Am Big, Good Moon Knight, Box Cat, Monster Monster Restaurant, Monsters Under Your Bed, and Counting Monsters. After earning a B.A. from New York University, Mike worked for many years as a software architect and computer programmer. After moving to China with his family, Mike decided to pursue one of his dreams of writing and illustrating his own stories for his children and others to enjoy. He now lives in Shanghai, China with his family, where he writes and illustrates children's books, and holds workshops on creative writing and cartoon illustration.
