She is author of \u003ci\u003eGirlhood on Disney Channel: Branding, Celebrity, and Femininity\u003c\/i\u003e (2017), and her work is published in \u003ci\u003eFeminist Media Studies\u003c\/i\u003e, \u003ci\u003eFilm, Fashion and Consumption\u003c\/i\u003e, \u003ci\u003eRed Feather Journal\u003c\/i\u003e, and \u003ci\u003eJournal of Children \u0026amp; Media\u003c\/i\u003e. She also contributed to \u003ci\u003eVoicing Girlhood in Popular Music\u003c\/i\u003e (2016), edited by Allison Adrian and Jacqueline Warwick. \u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eMary Celeste Kearney\u003c\/strong\u003e is Director of Gender Studies and Associate Professor of Film, Television, and Theatre at the University of Notre Dame. Her research focuses primarily on gender, youth, and media culture.
