Author Biography
After the attempt on her life, Dorothy Fagan lost her ability to paint the delicate abstract landscapes for which she'd become known. Path interrupted? Or journey intensified? Dorothy fought to find the artist she'd lost or the one she was meant to be. Unraveling the Creator within, she discovered the purpose of her artistic gifts in a ministry called Joy's Garden. Each stroke of color brought her a moment of peace. Color by color, year by year the Creator's Light grew brighter. Radiant now, Dorothy Fagan's inspirational story is, "in itself is so brave, so authentic, so honest and moving that I was totally inspired all over again after being inspired by seeing her gorgeous art. A shining light in this world every time I see her paintings, I feel joy!" Dorothy Fagan's art is included in collections on five continents, including the Musee de La Grande Vigne, Dinan, France, Longwood University Art Museum, U Mass Memorial Hospital, Boston Children's Hospital, Camp LeJeune Mental Health Hospital, Emory University, City University of New York, International Paper, and hundreds of corporate and private collections. Inspirational stories of Dorothy's creativSOUP process engage her audience with whimsy, candor, and down-to-earth, practical know-how. Her upcoming book, The Mystery of Two Sisters, unravels clues discovered in journals, dreams, paintings, and messages from her mother to reveal the Goddess within. Joy's Garden books are available on Amazon, at select shops and galleries, and the artist's website dorothyfagan.com.
