Author Biography

Jon Burgess began his journey into the world of poetry in late 2011, and it was an idea he would have scoffed at not long before, having had a total belief that his family's artistic gene had completely passed him by. What began merely as an attempt to put some feelings to paper during a trying time proved to be a therapeutic catharsis which soon encompassed not only his life but lives of friends, loved ones, and the events of today's world. In addition to his newest endeavor, he is also a Registered Nurse, specializing in Home Care for the elderly and a self-employed entrepreneur who enjoys traveling for both business and pleasure. He is also a proud father and grandfather. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, travel, playing games, spending time with loved ones, and virtually anything out in the sun. He is also a notoriously diehard Seahawks fan.
