I found myself falling silent. Something in the things the man said struck a chord inside. I found myself reflecting on the time I had spent on the strange island. I was realizing for the first time that I had fallen into a stagnant, silent life. I cleaned the house, cooked, and visited the village every day. That's all I ever did. I followed the orders of Thomastus, followed the teachings of Mirabel, followed the day to day routine I had fallen into so effortlessly; all without hesitation or thought. Just like a prisoner.
