How efficient is the Chinese healthcare system? Milcent examines the medication market in China against the global picture of healthcare organization, and how public healthcare insurance plans have been implemented in recent years, as well as reforms to tackle hospital inefficiency. Carine Milcent is Professor of Health Economics and Econometrics at the Paris School of Economics, France, and French Center for Contemporary China, Hong Kong. She is Editor of China Perspectives and has published widely in journals and books.
