Merrylynn gives all the credit to her solid-rock Christian foundation for pulling her through all the crises to enjoy her beautiful grandchildren and her satisfying eightieth birthday. She completed her BA in English, with a minor in art, at the mature age of 50, the same year her youngest daughter graduated from high school. Merrylynn taught English and art at a Tulsa Christian middle school. After a subsequent ten years as an executive secretary In Public Relations for The Williams Companies, she retired and still resides in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
