Sunita Pant Bansal is a renowned mythologist, storyteller, and author whose career spans more than four decades. Throughout her journey, she has worn many hats--writer, editor, publisher, and entrepreneur--leaving a lasting mark on Indian and international publishing.
She has led major publishing houses and founded and edited newspapers and magazines for readers in India, the US, and the UK. Her collaborations include work with global organizations such as Walt Disney, Warner Bros., Pearson Education, The Times of India, Hindustan Times, and the ABP Group. In addition to these partnerships, Sunita established her own publishing house to produce books for audiences worldwide and served as President of the Institute of Indology, further strengthening her influence in literature and cultural studies. She has authored countless children's books on folk literature and scriptures--many translated into multiple languages--and over 30 books for adults and young readers that explore the philosophy and relevance of mythology today. Her storytelling uniquely blends mythology and history, making ancient wisdom accessible to the modern reader. Sunita's contributions to publishing and literature have earned her numerous accolades, including the 2024 AALEKH Women Achievers Award.
