"Mama, tell us a story about when you were young," the author and her older sister often begged. As a result, the youngsters learned about growing up in the 1920's. In later years, Georgia decided to write down her memories of the 1940's for her children and her grandchildren. The result is Georgie's Book and she hopes others will enjoy the memories.

Author Biography

Georgia Alderink started writing at the age of nine as she sat in the warm, Minnesota sun which shone through an open hay mow door. Life intervened, and she didn't write again until she moved to Arkansas. She now has four books published: two children's books and two memoirs, plus several stories in magazines. Retired, Georgia and her husband, Fred, enjoy the outdoors and spend time hiking both in Arkansas and the national parks.
