She obtained her PhD from University of California, Berkeley, where she has also been a Senior Visiting Fulbright Scholar. She is co-author of two books on health care policy, \u003cem\u003e Care Provision and Cost Measurement; Dependent Elderly People at Home and in Geriatric Hospitals and Support Services for Carers of Elderly People Living in the Community\u003c\/em\u003e. She has also published in the areas of women's psychological development, violence against women, and feminist politics.
