This doll symbolizes the ability to have success, overcome adversity, and recover from misfortune.)
Author Biography
Kumiko Olson was born in Tokyo in 1953 and immigrated to the U.S. in 1984. She holds an AA in Japan, and a BA and MA in Conflict Resolution at Portland State University. She lives in a rural town in Oregon with her husband.
