by Hadley Johnson (Author)
Ever wonder which composer was almost buried alive? Curious about why Johann Sebastian Bach was sent to jail? Which composer's father stole so much money from his son's employer that both were sent into exile? The Suzuki Method has been used to nurture violinists for decades, creating generations of successful musicians through the philosophy of Shinichi Suzuki. This book brings yet another tool to the well-rounded young artist: a history of the composers and pieces that brings the Suzuki repertoire to life.
