Author Biography
Joan North has lived on ashrams in California and Massachusetts and a Zen center in Hawaii for eighteen years. She currently lives in St. Augustine, Florida, and enjoys writing, painting, photography and experiencing life on many levels. Her short stories have appeared in The Florida Writer Magazine (2011, 2013), the Florida Writers Association anthologies (2013, 2015) and the Royal Palms Literary Awards Competitions (2012, 2015). Her books include Watching Clouds Breathe (2008)-Full page black-and-white photographs and brief thoughts on love, God, Zen Buddhism and everyday life. Light, Shadow & Reflection (2010)-Full page black-and-white photographs and messages from God that answer questions about who we are and why we're here.
