Instead, she inspires her readers to find ways to express themselves for healing and joy.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3\u003eAuthor Biography\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003eSandra Lorraine Grant-Manderson is the third of seven children for her parents. Her mother was a music teacher, and her father was an Accountant. Sandra attended the St. Andrew High School for Girls, the University of the West Indies Extra-Mural Department and went on to work at the Bank of Jamaica. She then migrated to study Public Communication and Theatre Dance at The Queen's College of The City University of New York. Sandra has been writing poems for over 30 years and her work has been featured in the newspaper and on radio. One of her most famous poems entitled \"Shackles\" was part of the Jamaica 50th Celebration where she performed it live.
