by Steven Van Neste (Author)
This poetry is the result of a series of dreams involving the Vodou Lwa Ezili Danto, who is often depicted as a fierce warrior woman. The aim of this poetry is not to be liturgical, but simply to offer a quasi-Romantic depiction of a warrior-queen, as such the symbolism is meant to be read in an obscure philosophical way, rather than as something religious.
