Author Biography
Danilo López-Román (Nicaragua, 1954) resides in the USA since 1986. He has published three poetry collections in Spanish (Antología de Tarde; Génesis Y Otras Fantasías; and Extraña Ciudad) and four in English (Return to Guatemala; Dead Souls; God, Woman & Country; Dona Nobis Pacem). His poetry and essays have appeared in print and electronic media in the USA and Latin America (Hayden's Ferry Review, Chachalaca Review, BorderSense, Loch Raven Review, Carrier Pigeon, 400 Elefantes, La Prensa Literaria, El Pez y la Serpiente, and many others), and collected in anthologies in Nicaragua, Argentina, Venezuela, Palestine and the USA. He has been invited to read at many international poetry festivals and venues in Miami, Dallas, Austin, Granada (Nicaragua) and Colombia. A licensed architect in Florida and Texas, he holds an MBA from INCAE Business School, a Ph.D. in Public Administration, and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Texas at El Paso.
