by Awilda Gonzalez (Author)
This book contains profound biblical truths found through the exploration of a time in Israel's history recorded in the Book of Hosea when God tells His people that He "did not know" what they had done. They made decisions about country and government without consulting Him. Dr. Gonz lez explains why God expressed it this way and shows how the problems and lessons that Israel experienced during the time of Hosea are completely relevant to every child of God today. "Does God Know?" presents principles on how to make decisions and develop a close relationship with God that apply to every person in their Christian walk. Knowing and living God's will is a concept that many people consider elusive, but the author writes in such a way that readers can grasp and put into concrete terms. Dr. Gonz lez uses practical, everyday life experiences to explain the spiritual significance of biblical principles. She leads readers to self-examination and guides them to the types of decisions they can make now that lead to a lifetime of truly walking with the Lord. "In this study on the Book of Hosea, Dr. Awilda Gonz lez opens up the message of this book, not only viewing it from the perspective of the ancient people of Israel, but also relating it to us today. This is an excellent book to provoke reflection on the need to have a close relationship with God and the sincerity in it. It could well serve as a basis for a Bible study in the church community or as a manual to conduct a kind of inventory of our prayer life." Dr. Justo L.
